Dr. Dawson joined Twickenham Pediatrics, P.C. in July 2021 following the retirement of Dr. Jeanmarie Chappell.
She was born an Army brat and grew up living in 7 different states and 2 countries, but always considered northern Alabama home. She moved back to the Huntsville area in 2012 where she has worked as a pediatric hospitalist at Huntsville Hospital Women & Children.

Dr. Dawson attended The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she studied biology and art. She then received her medical degree from The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.
Her specialty training in pediatrics was completed at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
She has over 15 years of experience as a practicing pediatrician and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Dawson practices scientific, evidence-based medicine where proof exists regarding the safety and efficacy of a medication or procedure. In keeping with this principle, she follows the immunization schedule recommended by the CDC and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
